Since august 2001 I'm the proud owner of Jules, my french bulldog. Jules and I become a close team and I bought all the cute gifts and gadgets I could find for her. Then I needed a cushion. There was nothing that would suit with my kitch livingroom. So I went looking on the internet. I was shocked, surprised and overwelmed by all the funky items you could get for dogs.

By the end of 2004 I got my first set of dogclothing. They where very expensive due to the shipingcosts and taxes. So I was thinking: there's got to be a better way. Soon after Hippehond was funded. On the first of januari 2005 my company was registered and I build my webshop. Hippehond grew pretty fast from one big joke to a bigger and more serious company.

Soon the press started to notice that Hippehond had some strange and funky gadgets for dogs. We were guest at Life and Cooking, Jeugdjournaal, Man bijt hond and Hart van Nederland, to name a few. As well Jules was on the frontpage of many big newspapers. It was a chaotic, crazy and fantastic period.  January 2006 our team got a new teammember, Maria, a bullterrier from the shelter in Belgium. After a sometimes difficult start, we are a solid team now.

In the beginning of april, the first line of shirts from my own brand came in the shop. Then on the 14th of april (the day I became 30!) my 'girls' and I opened a shop in downtown Eindhoven. The shop is open on wednesday, friday and saturday. As well we started distributing the top brand Puppy Angel for the Benelux and Germany and the well known brands Happytails & K9 for the Benelux. Of course we will keep you updated on any new and exciting news!
